Then work your way through these – remember the drive could be bad, could have a loose cable or slight corrosion on the contacts usually for a laptop and other issues.
Still would like an answer on what software you are trying to use for burning. I could not find a firmware update for your device.

Message 8 of Try a burning program to see if any better results. I have my NERO 7 dvd which gets detected and installed in all other systems except for this windows 7 system. Thanks for the immediate responses. A free app HERE. I also find that odd ra you are getting this error.
The dvd is not even getting detected. Message 9 of Message 10 of Actually also saw them in Vista.
Well its very strange. But have never seen anyone report getting a “firmware not up to date” message. Message 3 of Information gw links in this thread may no longer be available or relevant.
